| dc.description.abstract | Penyakit furunkulosis akibat Aeromonas salmonicida memicu kematian massal pada pembenihan ikan mas (Cyprinus carpio). Penelitian ini menguji efektivitas pelapisan (coating) pakan menggunakan serbuk bawang putih (Allium sativum) komersial untuk menanggulangi infeksi A. salmonicida dan memacu pertumbuhan benih. Pengujian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap lima perlakuan: K- (sehat), K+ (terinfeksi tanpa obat), serta tiga dosis coating serbuk bawang putih (0,8%, 1,3%, dan 1,8%) pascainfeksi. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan dosis 1,8% memberikan pemulihan paling optimal dengan tingkat kelangsungan hidup (86,67%), pertumbuhan bobot mutlak (10,68 g), dan panjang mutlak (1,90 cm) tertinggi. Uji PCR mengonfirmasi hilangnya pita DNA target 422 bp A. salmonicida pada dosis 1,8% di akhir pemeliharaan. Pelapisan pakan serbuk bawang putih dosis 1,8% merupakan terapi paling efektif untuk mengobati furunkulosis pada benih ikan mas. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Furunculosis caused by A. salmonicida induces mass mortality in common carp (Cyprinus carpio) seeds. This study evaluated the efficacy of feed coating with commercial garlic (Allium sativum) powder to control A. salmonicida infection and promote growth. The experiment used a Completely Randomized Design with five treatments: K- (healthy), K+ (infected, untreated), and three garlic coating doses (0.8%, 1.3%, and 1.8%) post-infection. Results showed that the 1.8% dose achieved the best recovery, recording the highest survival rate (86.67%), absolute weight growth (10.68 g), and absolute length growth (1.90 cm). PCR analysis confirmed the clearance of the 422 bp target DNA band of A. salmonicida at the 1.8% dose. Feed coating with 1.8% commercial garlic powder is the most effective treatment for furunculosis in common carp seeds. | |
