This study aimed to evaluate the effects of pre-planting seed treatment and the application of soil amendments on the growth of Mucuna bracteata cultivated on peatland. The research was conducted from February to May 2026 at Mandah Estate, PT Bumireksa Nusa Sejati, Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau Province. The study consisted of two phases: a nursery phase and a field planting phase. The nursery phase involved two types of seed soaking treatments (A), three soaking durations (R), and three soil amendment treatments (B), while the field planting phase involved three soil amendment treatments (L). The results showed that both the type of seed soaking treatment (A) and the soaking duration (R) significantly affected seed germination percentage and early plant growth, whereas the soil amendments had no significant effect during the nursery phase. In the field planting phase, the soil amendment treatments (L) did not significantly affect plant height but significantly influenced the number of leaves and ground cover percentage. The application of a growing medium consisting of 50% soil and 50% oil palm solid waste (solid) produced the best vegetative growth response, indicating its potential as an effective soil amendment for the cultivation of M. bracteata on peatland.
