Abstract
Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dirancang media interpretasi berupa papan interpretasi visual dan poster QR Code yang menarik dan mudah dipahami Mount Slamet is home to a high diversity of wildlife; this potential could serve as an educational tool for tourists to learn about the wildlife along the hiking trails, but information about these animals has not yet been effectively communicated due to the limited interpretive media available on the trails. This study aims to identify wildlife species suitable for interpretation, analyze tourists’ perceptions and preferences regarding visual interpretive media, and design visual interpretive media. The research method employs a mixed-methods approach through field observations, literature reviews, interviews with park managers, and the distribution of questionnaires to 100 respondents selected using purposive sampling. The results show that there are 39 species of wildlife, consisting of large mammals, small mammals, birds, and reptiles/amphibians. Visitors’ perceptions indicate that visual interpretation media are considered important for helping to identify wildlife, enhancing conservation understanding, and enriching the educational experience during the hike. Based on these results, visual interpretation media in the form of visually appealing and easy-to-understand interpretive panels and QR code posters were designed
