      Abstract
      Poecilia reticulata merupakan komoditas ikan hias air tawar unggulan Indonesia, namun ketersediaan ikan berkualitas masih terkendala oleh pertumbuhan tidak maksimal, ikan sakit, ukuran tidak seragram. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh perbedaan ketinggian air pemeliharaan terhadap pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup benih ikan guppy. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan dan empat ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketinggian air 15 cm berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap panjang mutlak, bobot mutlak, laju pertumbuhan harian, tingkat kelangsungan hidup, dan tingkah laku. Perlakuan P15 (ketinggian air 15cm) menghasilkan pertumbuhan terbaik dengan panjang mutlak 0,46 cm, bobot mutlak 0,88 g, laju pertumbuhan Panjang harian 1,30% hari-1, tingkat kelangsungan hidup 84,00%. Dengan demikian, ketinggian air 15 cm direkomendasikan untuk pemeliharaan benih ikan guppy P. reticulata.
       
      Poecilia reticulata is Indonesia’s leading freshwater ornamental fish, but the availability of high-quality fish is still hampered by suboptimal growth, disease, and inconsistent sizes. This study aims to analyze the effect of different water levels on the growth and survival of guppy fry. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with three treatments and four replicates. The results of the study showed that a water depth of 15 cm had a significant effect (P<0.05) on absolute length, absolute weight, daily growth rate, survival rate, and behavior. Treatment P15 (water depth of 15 cm) produced the best growth, with an absolute length of 0.46 cm, absolute weight of 0.88 g, daily growth rate of 1.30% day?¹, and survival rate of 84.00%. Therefore, a water depth of 15 cm is recommended for the rearing of P. reticulata guppy fry.
