Bantarkaret Village Forest has the potential to support local livelihoods, yet its management performance and household income dependence remain insufficiently understood. This study aimed to assess management performance, measure household dependence on village-forest income, and identify associated socioeconomic factors. Data were collected through field observations and interviews with 40 respondents and analyzed using management-function assessment, income analysis, relative forest income (RFI), and multiple linear regression. Management performance averaged 76% and was classified as moderate, with scores of 82% for planning, 77% for organizing, 70% for actuating, and 76% for controlling. The mean RFI was 9.3%, indicating that village-forest income remained supplementary but was relatively more important to lower-income households. RFI was positively associated with labor allocation and the number of family dependents, negatively associated with income earned outside the village forest, and not significantly associated with managed land area. Stronger institutions, technical capacity, access to capital, and forest-based enterprises are needed to increase sustainable economic benefits.
