Kappaphycus alvarezii is one of Indonesia’s leading seaweed commodities; however, the availability of high-quality seedlings remains hampered by declining genetic quality, disease, and climate change. Tissue culture offers an alternative for the mass production of high-quality seedlings. This study aims to analyze the effect of various concentrations of Provasoli’s Enriched Seawater (PES) on the in vitro growth of K. alvarezii micropropagules and to determine the optimal concentration. This study employed a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments and five replicates. The results showed that PES concentration had a significant effect (P<0.05) on absolute weight, absolute length, LPBS, and the number of thalus, but had no significant effect on LPPS. Treatment P20 (20 ml L?¹) produced the best growth with an absolute weight of 0.0551 g, an absolute length of 1.1 cm, LPBS 6.61% day?¹, LPPS of 5.11% day?¹, and 28 shoots. In contrast, P25 (25 mL L?¹). Thus, a PES concentration of 20 mL L?¹ is recommended as the optimal concentration for the micropropagation of K. alvarezii
