PERAN PENYULUH PERTANIAN DALAM IMPLEMENTASI BUDIDAYA CABAI MERAH MELALUI SMART GREENHOUSE BAGI KELOMPOK TANI DI BPP WILAYAH RAGUNAN

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi pertanian modern mendorong penerapan sistem smart greenhouse sebagai salah satu inovasi budidaya cabai yang mampu menciptakan lingkungan budidaya lebih terkontrol dan efisien. Keberhasilan penerapan teknologi tersebut tidak terlepas dari peran penyuluh pertanian dalam mendampingi petani selama proses implementasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi peran penyuluh pertanian dalam mendukung implementasi sistem smart greenhouse pada budidaya cabai, mengidentifikasi tingkat pemahaman, keterampilan, dan minat petani dalam menerapkan sistem smart greenhouse, serta menganalisis hubungan peran penyuluh pertanian dengan tingkat pemahaman, keterampilan, dan minat petani. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kelompok Tani Poncol Jaya, BPP Wilayah Ragunan, Jakarta Selatan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survei dengan pendekatan kuantitatif terhadap 30 responden yang dipilih secara sensus. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan menggunakan uji Korelasi Rank Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran penyuluh pertanian memiliki hubungan positif dan signifikan dengan tingkat pemahaman petani (rs = 0,590 Sig. = 0,001), tingkat keterampilan petani (rs = 0,519 Sig. = 0,003), dan tingkat minat petani (rs = 0,695 Sig. = 0,000) dalam penerapan sistem smart greenhouse. Hubungan terkuat terdapat pada variabel minat petani. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi peran penyuluh yang dirasakan petani, maka semakin tinggi tingkat pemahaman, keterampilan, dan minat petani dalam menerapkan sistem smart greenhouse pada budidaya cabai. The development of modern agricultural technology has encouraged the implementation of smart greenhouse systems as an innovation in chili cultivation that provides a more controlled and efficient cultivation environment. The successful implementation of this technology is closely related to the role of agricultural extension workers in assisting farmers throughout the implementation process. This study aimed to identify the role of agricultural extension workers in supporting the implementation of smart greenhouse systems in chili cultivation, identify farmers’ levels of understanding, skills, and interest in applying smart greenhouse systems, and analyze the relationship between the role of agricultural extension workers and farmers’ understanding, skills, and interest. The study was conducted at the Poncol Jaya Farmer Group, Ragunan Agricultural Extension Center, South Jakarta. A quantitative survey method was employed involving 30 respondents selected through a census technique. Data were analyzed descriptively and using the Spearman Rank Correlation test. The results showed that the role of agricultural extension workers had a positive and significant relationship with farmers’ understanding (rs = 0.590; Sig. = 0.001), skills (rs = 0.519; Sig. = 0.003), and interest (rs = 0.695; Sig. = 0.000) in implementing smart greenhouse systems. The strongest relationship was found in the interest variable. These findings indicate that the greater the role of agricultural extension workers perceived by farmers, the higher the levels of understanding, skills, and interest in implementing smart greenhouse systems for chili cultivation.
