      Abstract

Nile tilapia Oreochromis niloticus is a key freshwater aquaculture commodity in Indonesia; however, its productivity is constrained by high feed costs and suboptimal nutrition. Kapok honey (madu randu) is a natural product with the potential to enhance fish growth. This applied study aimed to evaluate the effect of varying dietary dosages of kapok honey on the growth performance of Nile tilapia fingerlings. The study utilized Nile tilapia fingerlings (4–6 cm in size) stocked at 30 fish per hapa and reared for 35 days. A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was employed, featuring four treatments and three replicates: a control group and groups receiving kapok honey at dosages of 2%, 4%, and 6%. Observed parameters included absolute length growth, absolute weight growth, specific growth rate, survival rate, feed conversion ratio, and feed efficiency. The results indicated that the administration of kapok honey improved growth performance, with the 4% dosage yielding the best results in this study.
