Instagram sebagai Media Informasi Digital Kota Bogor: Studi pada Konten Reels @bogordailynews

Abstract

Akun Instagram @bogordailynews merupakan media informasi digital lokal yang aktif menyajikan berbagai informasi mengenai kondisi Kota Bogor melalui fitur Reels. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi isi informasi yang disajikan dalam konten Reels @bogordailynews serta menganalisis karakteristik new media yang tercermin dalam konten tersebut berdasarkan teori Martin Lister. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode qualitative content analysis Philipp Mayring. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konten Reels @bogordailynews memuat empat kategori infomasi, yaitu lalu lintas, bencana dan peristiwa, serta kegiatan dan aktivitas Pemerintah Kota Bogor. Analisis menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik new media berupa digitality, interactivity, hypertextuality, dan networked tercermin dalam penyajian konten Reels @bogordailynews melalui pemanfaatan berbagai fitur Instagram sebagai media informasi digital. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa @bogordailynews berperan sebagai media informasi digital lokal yang memanfaatkan karakteristik new media untuk menyampaikan informasi kepada masyarakat Kota Bogor.

The Instagram account @bogordailynews is a local digital information media that actively disemminates information about the condition in Bogor City through the Reels feature. This study aims to identify the types of information presented in the Reels content of @bogordailynews and to analyze the characteristics of new media reflected in the content based on Martin Lister theory. This study employed a qualitative approach using Philipp Mayring’s qualitative content analysis method. The findings indicate that the Reels content contains four main categories of information, namely traffic, disasters and incidents, public services, and activities of the Bogor City Government. Furthermore, the analysis reveals that the characteristics of new media, including digitality, interactivity, hypertextuality, and networked, are reflected in the presentation of the Reels content through the utilization of various Instagram features as a digital information medium. These finding demonstrate that @bogordailynews plays an important role as a local digital information medium by utilizing the characteristics of new media to disseminate information to the people of Bogor City.
