      Abstract
EVI FAUZIYAH.

EVI FAUZIYAH. Identification of Parasitic Nematodes on Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) In Wiradesa and Kajen Subdistricts, Pekalongan Regency. supervised by FITRIANINGRUM KURNIAWATI and SUPRAMANA. Plant parasitic nematodes are microscopic organisms that live as parasites on plants and can cause damage to various plant organs. Information on the presence and distribution of nematodes in peanut plantations in Pekalongan Regency is still limited. This study aims to identify plant parasitic nematodes based on morphological characteristics and analyze their distribution. Root and pod samples were taken from six locations in Wiradesa and Kajen Districts using a purposive sampling method. Nematodes were extracted using a centrifugal flotation method and then identified morphologically. Data were analyzed descriptively and visualized using a heatmap. The results showed six nematode genera: Aphelenchoides, Mesocriconema, Helicotylenchus, Pratylenchus, Rotylenchulus, and Tylenchus. The Pratylenchus genus was the most dominant genus with a total of 38 individuals found in 10 g of pod samples from symptomatic plants at location K1. Nematode diversity was higher in root samples than in pod samples, where only three genera were found. The distribution of nematodes varies across locations, likely influenced by environmental factors such as soil texture and humidity. The results of this study are expected to provide baseline information to support nematode management strategies in peanut cultivation. Keywords: distribution, genera, heatmap, maceration, purposive sampling
