Osteosarcoma is a malignant primary bone neoplasm for which limb amputation is the primary treatment to control tumor progression. This study aimed to describe the preoperative preparation, the roles of veterinary paramedics during the amputation procedure, and postoperative care in a cat diagnosed with osteosarcoma. A case study design with purposive sampling was employed. Data were collected from the amputation procedure performed on a cat with a confirmed diagnosis of osteosarcoma. Qualitative data consisted of radiographic, cytological, and histopathological findings, which were presented descriptively, whereas quantitative data comprised hematological examination results obtained before surgery and on postoperative days 1, 3, 7, and 9, which were presented as line graphs. The results demonstrated that the midshaft amputation technique improved the patient's quality of life, while postoperative therapy and nursing care supported wound healing and the recovery of the patient's clinical condition.
