The Jakarta Museum of Fine Arts and Ceramics has the potential for a large collection, but the information presented is still conveyed through dense text labels, making digital-based interpretive media necessary. This study aims to identify potential collections for digital interpretive media and to analyze visitors’ perceptions and preferences. The research was conducted through field observations, with museum staff, and the distribution of questionnaires to 100 respondents. The results successfully identified 18 potential collection items suitable for development as digital content. Data analysis revealed a very positive response from visitors toward the development of Augmented Reality (AR)-based media. Their primary needs included high-contrast visual designs, bilingual interactive AR content, and an easily accessible system. These preferences were subsequently implemented into the final products: an interpretive panel prototype, an AR barcode AR, and an Assemblr AR guidebook. Based on the evaluation from 20 users, all of these final designs received very high ratings in terms of satisfaction.
