dc.description.abstractProses solid-liquid separation pada unit Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) di IPAL commissioning industri makanan ringan belum optimum. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kinerja operasional unit DAF berdasarkan kondisi optimum proses chemical pre-treatment selama tahap commissioning. Penelitian dilakukan melalui karakterisasi air limbah influen, penentuan kondisi optimum chemical pre-treatment, kemudian mengevaluasi kualitas efluen DAF berdasarkan parameter pH, TSS, dan COD. Kondisi optimum ditentukan berdasarkan penggunaan dosis bahan kimia terendah yang mampu menghasilkan kualitas efluen sesuai target operasional perusahaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik awal air limbah belum memenuhi baku mutu. Kondisi optimum pada reactor tank wafer diperoleh dosis NaOH 25%, PAC 10%, dan anionik 0,1% secara berurutan sebesar 1,7; 1,0; 1,9 mg/L pada pagi hari serta 1,2; 1,0; 1,0 mg/L pada sore hari. Kondisi optimum pada reactor tank egg roll diperoleh dosis 1,2; 2,4; 2,4 mg/L pada pagi hari serta 1,2; 1,9; 1,9 mg/L pada sore hari. Penerapan kondisi optimum menghasilkan efluen DAF dengan pH netral, konsentrasi TSS 238–282 mg/L, konsentrasi COD 3.900–4.500 mg/L, efisiensi penyisihan TSS 86,9–89,0%, dan efisiensi penyisihan COD 78,1–86,5%, sehingga kinerja operasional unit DAF selama tahap commissioning telah memenuhi target operasional perusahaan.
dc.description.abstractThe solid–liquid separation process in the Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) unit of a snack food industry WWTP had not been optimized during commissioning. This study evaluated the operational performance of the DAF unit under optimum chemical pre-treatment conditions. The study involved influent wastewater characterization, determination of optimum chemical dosages, and evaluation of DAF effluent quality based on pH, TSS, and COD. The optimum condition was defined as the lowest chemical dosage that met the company's operational targets. For the wafer reactor tank, the optimum dosages of 25% NaOH, 10% PAC, and 0.1% anionic polymer were 1.7, 1.0, 1.9 mg/L in the morning and 1.2, 1.0, 1.0 mg/L in the afternoon. For the egg roll reactor tank, the optimum dosages were 1.2, 2.4, 2.4 mg/L in the morning and 1.2, 1.9, 1.9 mg/L in the afternoon. The DAF unit achieved neutral pH, TSS of 238–282 mg/L, COD of 3,900–4,500 mg/L, and met the company's operational targets during commissioning.
