| dc.description.abstract | Provinsi Riau memiliki kawasan mangrove terluas di Sumatra, namun
ekosistemnya tertekanan abrasi pantai yang memengaruhi komposisi tegakan
mangrove. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis komposisi jenis, strukur tegakan,
kandungan biomassa di atas permukaan tanah, cadangan karbon, dan serapan CO2
hutan mangrove Sungai Bersejarah, Riau. Metode analisis vegetasi menggunakan
plot contoh lingkaran tersarang. Data diameter dan tinggi pohon dianalisis
menggunakan persamaan alometrik untuk menghitung biomassa, yang kemudian
dikonversi menjadi nilai cadangan karbon dan serapan CO2. Hasil analisis vegetasi
ditemukan 12 jenis mangrove pada tingkat pohon, 11 jenis pancang, dan 5 jenis
semai. Rhizophora apiculata merupakan jenis dominan dengan di setiap tingkat
pertumbuhan. Struktur horizontal tegakan membentuk kurva J-terbalik dengan
diameter batang pohon yang bervariasi dari 10-89 cm. Kelas diameter 10-19 cm
merupakan kelas dominan yang memiliki kerapatan individu tertinggi. Stratifikasi
tajuk terdiri dari 3 stratum, yaitu stratum C, D, dan E, dengan stratum C sebagai
strata yang paling dominan. Total pendugaan biomassa di atas permukaan tanah,
cadangan karbon, dan serapan CO2 tergolong sedang, masing-masing sebesar
121,63 ton/ha, 57,11 ton/ha, dan 207,06 ton/ha. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Riau Province contains the largest mangrove area in Sumatra, however, its
mangrove ecosystem is under pressure from coastal abrasion, which has affected
the composition of mangrove stands. This study aimed to analyse the species
composition, stand structure, aboveground biomass, carbon stock, and CO2
sequestration of the mangrove forest in Sungai Bersejarah, Riau. Vegetation
analysis was conducted using nested circular sample plots. Tree diameter and height
data were analysed using allometric equations to estimate aboveground biomass,
which was subsequently converted into carbon stock and CO2 sequestration values.
The vegetation analysis identified 12 mangrove species at the tree stage, 11 species
at the sapling stage, and 5 species at the seedling stage. Rhizophora apiculata was
the dominant species at all growth stages. The horizontal stand structure exhibited
an inverted J-shaped diameter distribution, with tree diameters ranging from 10 to
89 cm. The 10-19 cm diameter class was the dominant class, having the highest
individual density. The canopy stratification consisted of three strata (C, D, and E),
with stratum C being the most dominant. The estimated aboveground biomass,
carbon stock, and CO2 sequestration were classified as moderate, with values of
