      Abstract
      Mawar merupakan komoditas florikultural bernilai ekonomi tinggi yang dalam budidayanya sering memiliki kendala akibat serangan hama. Tungau laba-laba berbintik dua (Tetranychus urticae Koch) merupakan hama utama pada tanaman mawar yang merusak daun melalui penghisapan cairan sel, sehingga mengakibatkan penurunan kualitas tanaman dengan degradasi klorofil dan nekrosis. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi secara molekuler tungau pada tanaman mawar dan mengevaluasi aktivitas akarisida ekstrak asam format semut rangrang (Oecophylla smaragdina) terhadap tungau tersebut. Identifikasi molekuler dilakukan menggunakan primer universal rDNA Tetranychidae rD02 dan HC2 menunjukkan similaritas tertinggi sebesar 99,19% dengan T. urticae Koch asal India dan Vietnam. Evaluasi aktivitas akarisida dilakukan dengan penyemprotan langsung pada konsentrasi 0,5%; 0,75%; 1%; 1,5%. Akarisida berbahan aktif propargite dan Akuabides digunakan sebagai pembanding. Mortalitas diamati pada 24, 48, dan 72 jam setelah perlakuan (JSP). Analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak asam format semut rangrang pada konsentrasi 1,5% mampu menyebabkan mortalitas T. urticae tertinggi pada 72 JSP. Gejala paralisis dan perubahan morfologi tubuh mengindikasikan potensi ekstrak sebagai akarisida kontak. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa ekstrak asam format semut rangrang berpotensi dikaji lebih lanjut sebagai akarisida alternatif dalam pengendalian T. urticae pada tanaman mawar.
       
      Roses are high-value floricultural commodities whose cultivation is frequently constrained by pest infestations. The two-spotted spider mite (Tetranychus urticae Koch) is a primary pest of rose plants that damages foliage through the suction of cell fluids, consequently leading to a decline in plant quality through chlorophyll degradation and necrosis. This study aimed to perform molecular identification of mites and to evaluate the acaricidal activity of weaver ants (Oecophylla smaragdina) formic acid extract against the mites. Molecular identification was conducted using the universal rDNA Tetranychidae primers rd02 and HC2, revealing the highest sequence similarity of 99,19% with T. urticae from India and Vietnam. Acaricidal activity was assessed through direct spray application at concentrations of 0.5%, 0.75%, 1%, 1.5%. Chemical acaricide with propargite active compound. Mortality was observed for 24, 48, and 72 hours after treatments (HAT). Statistical analysis indicated that the weaver ant formic acid extract at 1.5% concentration yielding the highest mortality rate at 72 HAT. Paralysis symptoms and morphological changes in the body structure indicated the potential of the extract as a contact acaricide. This study concludes that weaver ant formic acid extract shows preliminary potential as an alternative bioacaricide for controlling T. urticae populations on rose plants.
