| dc.description.abstract | Thalassiosira sp. is a microalgae used in vanamei shrimp hatcheries. The
objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of trace element (TE)
supplementation on the growth and quality of Thalassiosira sp. microalgae. This
research uses the Complete Random Design (CRD) with five fertilizer treatment
formulations, including a control treatment without trace element supplementation
and treatments with added trace elements. The treatments were as follows:
concentration N = 13.56; P = 1.21; Si = 2.530; Fe = 0.103 (K); concentration N =
7.87; P = 0.40; Si = 3.96; Fe = 0.32 (F1); concentration N = 7.87; P = 0.40; Si =
3.96; Fe = 0.32 + trace elements (F1+TE), N = 11.80; P = 0.61; Si = 5.93; Fe = 0.48
(F2), and N = 11.80; P = 0.61; Si = 5.93; Fe = 0.48 + trace elements (F2+TE), with
four replicates for each treatment. The concentration of F2 was 1.5 times higher
than that of the F1 formulation. The highest cell density was obtained in the F1+TE
treatment, but it was not significantly different from the F2+TE treatment. The
specific growth rate of all treatments was higher than that of the control. The
addition of trace elements was able to increase the density and quality of
Thalassiosira sp. cells. | |

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi penambahan trace element (TE) terhadap pertumbuhan dan kualitas mikroalga Thalassiosira sp. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan lima perlakuan formulasi pupuk, yaitu perlakuan tanpa penambahan trace element dan formulasi dengan penambahan trace element. Perlakuan tersebut dengan konsentrasi N =13,56; P = 1,21; Si = 2,530; Fe = 0,103 (K), konsentrasi N = 7,87; P = 0,40; Si = 3,96; Fe = 0,32, (F1), konsentrasi N = 7,87; P = 0,40; Si = 3,96; Fe = 0,32 + trace element (F1+TE), konsentrasi N = 11,80; P = 0,61; Si = 5,93; Fe = 0,48 (F2), dan konsentrasi N = 11,80; P = 0,61; Si = 5,93; Fe = 0,48 + trace element (F2+TE) dengan empat ulangan untuk masing-masing perlakuan. Konsentrasi F2 lebih tinggi 1,5 kali dari formulasi F1. Kepadatan sel tertinggi didapatkan pada perlakuan F1+TE, namun tidak berbeda dengan perlakuan F2+TE.
