Sludge Oil Recovery Plant (ORP) from palm oil processing and coconut husk ash are abundant agro-industrial wastes that remain underutilized, despite their potential as soap raw materials. This study aimed to determine the effect of reflux extraction time on the yield and quality of oil recovered from sludge Oil Recovery Plant (ORP), and to assess the suitability of coconut husk ash filtrate as a natural alkali for producing liquid soap that meets the Indonesian National Standard. Oil was extracted by reflux using n-hexane at extraction times of 2, 3, and 4 hours, while potassium was extracted from the ash using distilled water, and both materials were then reacted through saponification. The highest oil yield, free fatty acid content, and acid value were obtained at 4 hours of extraction. The ash filtrate proved to be strongly alkaline with sufficient potassium content to replace synthetic alkali. The resulting liquid soap met all required quality parameters, confirming that utilizing both waste streams simultaneously is a feasible added-value waste management solution.
