Broiler chickens in the finisher phase are more susceptible to heat stress than those in the pre-starter and starter phases. Environmental conditions within the poultry house affect the health status of chickens, which may be reflected by pathological lesions in various organs. This study aimed to identify gross pathological lesions in the organs of finisher-phase broiler chickens reared in a semi-closed house system. Primary data were obtained through interviews, observations, and necropsy examinations. The results revealed congestion and hemorrhagic lesions in various organs, while necrosis was observed only in the liver and lungs. In addition, pancreatic atrophy and abnormal curvature of the duodenum were identified. Systemic findings included ascites, hydropericardium, and caseous exudates. The most frequently observed lesions were intestinal hemorrhage (71.4%) and pulmonary congestion (60.7%). It was concluded that the pathological lesions observed were likely associated with heat stress and the presence of Franky mites, which may act as predisposing factors for disease in broiler chickens.
