dc.description.abstractPT XYZ menghadapi tantangan dalam operasional pengiriman barang yang disebabkan oleh kapasitas kendaraan yang bervariasi, waktu pelayanan pelanggan yang terbatas dalam menerima barang (time windows), serta permintaan pelanggan yang berfluktuasi. Penilitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi distribusi dengan membandingkan kinerja rute aktual di PT XYZ dengan rute hasil optimasi. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah penerapan metode saving matrix untuk menentukan rute yang optimal dan penerapan simulasi Monte Carlo untuk memprediksi permintaan setiap customer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penerapan metode ini mampu memberikan efisiensi penggunaan kendaraan sebesar 44,44%, memangkas jarak tempuh sebesar 40,99%%, pengurangan waktu tempuh sebesar 39,51% dan menekan biaya operasional pengiriman sebesar 18,46%. Selain itu, simulasi Monte Carlo yang diterapkan mampu memprediksi permintaan pengiriman barang mencapai 98,85%.
dc.description.abstractPT XYZ faces challenges in its freight delivery operations due to varying vehicle capacities, limited customer service windows for receiving goods, and fluctuating customer demand. This study aims to improve distribution efficiency by comparing the performance of actual routes at PT XYZ with optimized routes. The methodology employed involves the application of the saving matrix method to determine optimal routes and the use of Monte Carlo simulation to predict demand for each customer. The results of the study show that the application of this method is capable of providing 44,44% efficiency in vehicle utilization, reducing travel distance by 40,99%, reducing travel time by 39,51%, and reducing delivery operational costs by 18,46%. In addition, the Monte Carlo simulation applied was able to predict goods delivery demand with 98,85% accuracy.
