      Estimasi Cadangan Karbon dan Serapan Karbon Dioksida pada Lahan Reklamasi di Sumatra Selatan

      Abstract
      Pemanasan global akibat emisi gas rumah kaca yang salah satunya disebabkan oleh pertambangan menjadi isu lingkungan yang terus meningkat setiap tahun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis komposisi jenis dan struktur tegakan, mengestimasi kandungan biomassa, cadangan karbon, serta serapan karbon dioksida (CO2) pada lahan reklamasi PT Bukit Asam, Sumatra Selatan. Metode penelitian meliputi analisis vegetasi dengan plot contoh berukuran 20 m × 20 m, pengukuran struktur tegakan, serta pendugaan biomassa, cadangan karbon, dan serapan karbon dioksida dengan pendekatan alometrik. Hasil analisis vegetasi ditemukan 10 jenis pohon, 11 jenis tiang, 14 jenis pancang, 10 jenis semai, dan 12 jenis tumbuhan bawah. Acacia auriculiformis merupakan jenis yang mendominasi pada tingkat pertumbuhan semai, pancang, dan pohon. Sementara tingkat tiang di dominasi oleh Senna siamea. Struktur horizontal tegakan menunjukkan bentuk kurva J terbalik, sementara stratifikasi tajuk yang mendominasi adalah stratum C. Total pendugaan biomassa, cadangan karbon, dan serapan CO2 secara berturut-turut sebesar 171,83 ton/ha, 80,74 ton/ha, dan 296,30 ton/ha.
       
      Global warming caused by greenhouse gas emissions one of which is attributable to mining is an environmental issue that continues to grow more pressing each year. This study aims to analyze the species composition and stand structure, estimate biomass content, carbon stocks, and carbon dioxide (CO2) sequestration on the reclaimed land of PT Bukit Asam in South Sumatra. Research methods included vegetation analysis using 20 m × 20 m sample plots, stand structure measurements, and estimation of biomass, carbon stock, and carbon dioxide uptake using an allometric approach. Vegetation analysis identified 10 tree species, 11 pole species, 14 sapling species, 10 seedling species, and 12 understory plant species. Acacia auriculiformis was the dominant species at the seedling, sapling, and tree growth stages. Meanwhile, the pole stage was dominated by Senna siamea. The horizontal stand structure exhibits an inverted J-curve shape, while the dominant canopy stratum is stratum C. The estimated total biomass, carbon stock, and CO2 sequestration were 171,83 tons/ha, 80,74 tons/ha, and 296,30 tons/ha, respectively.
