Evaluasi Proses Kerja Staf Eksekutor R&D dengan Process Activity Mapping dan Lean Manufacturing di PT XYZ Kota Bogor
Abstract
PT XYZ is a company engaged in the manufacturing of cosmetics and body care products. Work processes of the execution staff sill involve activities that do not add value, resulting in less efficient work processes. This final report aims to identify the types of waste occurring in the work processes of execution staff and to provide improvement suggestions using the Lean Manufacturing. The methods used in this final report include Workload Analysis, Process Activity Mapping, Pareto Diagram, and 5 whys analysis. The results obtained show that in the bar sample production process, the percentage of value added (VA) activities was 11,57%, necessary non-value added (NNVA) was 66,75%, and non-value added was 21,68%. Meanwhile in the non-bar sample production process, the percentage of value added (VA) was 37,55%, necessary non-value added (NNVA) was 51,42%, and non-value added (NVA) was 11,03%. The identification results indicate that waste waiting time and waste motion are the most dominant wastes. Improvement proposals are made thru the revision of work instructions and the implementation of the 6S methode to support a more effective and efficient work process.
