      Abstract
Pengendalian kualitas in-process diperlukan untuk mencegah terjadinya defect selama proses produksi, khususnya pada sistem produksi make to order.

In-process quality control is required to prevent defects during production, particularly in make-to-order manufacturing systems. In the UV printing process of HDPE 40 ml bottles at PT Natamas Plast, recurring defects were identified and affected production continuity. This study aims to evaluate in-process quality control and identify the root causes of defects. The DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) framework was applied, supported by Pareto diagrams, 5 Why method, and the 5W+1H method. The results indicate that defects are mainly influenced by operator work techniques, machine stability, and insufficient standardization of in-process inspection methods. Based on these findings, improvement proposals were developed to strengthen in-process quality control and prevent recurring defects.
