Gonad maturation of broodstock remains a major obstacle in the cultivation of striped catfish Pangasianodon hypophthalmus. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of fresh earthworm supplementation in feed on the reproductive performance of striped catfish broodstock. Using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 3 replications, the test included a control (1% commercial feed), and the addition of fresh earthworms at 1% (CS1) and 2% (CS2). The results showed that the CS2 treatment provided optimal results, achieving a Gonadosomatic Index (GSI) of 18.93%, fecundity of 193,548–260,869 eggs/kg,
Fertilization Rate (FR) of 85%–89%, Hatching Rate (HR) of 80%–85%, and egg diameter of 1.45 mm. Proximate analysis confirmed that fresh earthworms have
higher protein and fat content than commercial feed. In conclusion, the addition of 2% fresh earthworms is effective in improving the reproductive quality of striped catfish broodstock.
