      Abstract

Koi are freshwater ornamental fish that have become a hit in the international market because they're expensive and their prices stay pretty steady. This study looked at the effects of Bacillus sp. probiotics in feed on the survival and growth of koi fry. We used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments: a control with no Bacillus sp. probiotic (K), Bacillus sp. at 5 mL Kg -1 (PB5), 10 mL Kg -1 (PB10), and 15 mL Kg -1 (PB15) over 60 days. The results showed that adding Bacillus sp. probiotics significantly (P<0.05) boosted growth and health, with the best results in PB15, 90.2% survival, 5.92 cm absolute length growth, 10 g absolute weight growth, 2.99% daily specific growth rate, and 2.19×106 red blood cells/mm³. white blood cells 1.7×105 cells mm-3, hematocrit level 36.66%, and hemoglobin level 8.67 g dL-1 . Giving Bacillus sp. probiotics at a dose of 15 mL Kg -1 of feed improved the growth performance and survival of koi fish fry.
