dc.description.abstractProduksi ikan hias air tawar di Indonesia memiliki prospek ekonomi yang tinggi, namun pemeliharaan benih ikan manfish platinum Pterophyllum scalare masih menghadapi kendala berupa tingkat kelangsungan hidup yang relatif rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi pengaruh variasi ketinggian air terhadap laju pertumbuhan panjang harian, pertumbuhan panjang mutlak, tingkat kelangsungan hidup, respons tingkah laku, dan tingkat konsumsi oksigen benih ikan manfish platinum. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan ketinggian air, yaitu 15 cm, 20 cm, 25 cm, dan 30 cm (kontrol), masing- masing tiga ulangan. Pemeliharaan dilakukan dalam akuarium berukuran 50 cm × 35 cm × 35 cm dengan padat tebar 1 ekor L?¹. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketinggian air 25 cm memberikan hasil terbaik dengan laju pertumbuhan panjang harian 3,05±0,05% hari?¹, pertumbuhan panjang mutlak 1,50±0,02 cm, dan tingkat kelangsungan hidup 86,36±2,67%. Ketinggian air 25 cm merupakan kondisi yang paling sesuai untuk pemeliharaan benih ikan manfish platinum.
dc.description.abstractThe production of freshwater ornamental fish in Indonesia holds great economic promise however, the rearing of Pterophyllum scalare “platinum manfish” fry still faces challenges in the form of relatively low survival rates. This study aims to evaluate the effect of varying water depths on daily length growth rate, absolute length growth, survival rate, behavioral responses, and oxygen consumption rates of platinum manfish fry. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with four water level treatments 15 cm, 20 cm, 25 cm, and 30 cm (control) each with three replicates. Rearing was conducted in aquariums measuring 50 cm × 35 cm × 35 cm at a stocking density of 1 fish L?¹. The results showed that a water depth of 25 cm yielded the best results, with a daily growth rate of 3.05±0.05% day?¹, absolute length growth of 1.50±0.02 cm, and a survival rate of 86.36±2.67%. A water depth of 25 cm is the most suitable condition for rearing platinum manfish fry.
