      Abstract
Embryo transfer is a reproductive technology used to improve the genetic quality and productivity of livestock. This study aimed to evaluate the success of embryo transfer in Friesian Holstein (FH) and Ongole Grade (PO) recipient cows at the Cipelang Embryo Center during the 2022–2024 period. Secondary data from 78 recipient cows were analyzed based on breed, embryo quality (Excellent I, Good II, and Poor III), transfer method (fresh and frozen), and embryo developmental stage from the Morula to the Expanded Hatched Blastocyst stage. Pregnancy rates were calculated and analyzed using the Chi-square test. The pregnancy rate was 31.4% in FH recipient cows and 18.6% in PO recipient cows. Excellent I quality embryos and fresh embryos produced higher pregnancy rates than the other categories. The Expanded Hatched Blastocyst stage showed the highest pregnancy rate, although the sample size was limited. Chi-square analysis indicated that recipient breed, embryo quality, transfer method, and embryo developmental stage had no significant effect on pregnancy success (p>0.05).
