      Abstract

This study aims to determine the best dosage of probiotics in feed for growth and survival performance of Sangkuriang catfish fry. The research method used was an experiment with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), consisting of three treatments: control, 0,5% dosage treatment, and 1,0% dosage treatment. Parameters observed included growth and survival performance. The results of data analysis showed that the addition of probiotics had a significant effect (P <0.05) on all catfish performance parameters. The best treatment was obtained at a dose of 1.0% which resulted in a survival rate of 93%, a specific growth rate of 3.0%/day, a feed efficiency of 77%, and a feed conversion ratio of 1.4. Water quality parameters during maintenance were within the optimal range. Providing probiotics in feed at a dosage of 1.0% is very effective in increasing the growth and feed utilization efficiency of Sangkuriang catfish fry.
