Birds are one of the most popular pets in Indonesia, with an estimated population of 182.4–206.6 million. Antibiotics are one of the most commonly prescribed treatments. However, data on the use of antibiotics in birds remains limited, making further research necessary to determine antibiotic use pattern in birds. This study employed a prospective study design based on medical records of avian patients at AVES Jakarta during the period from October to December 2025. The collected data included clinical symptoms, type of antibiotic, route of administration, and dosage, which were subsequently analyzed descriptively. The results showed that antibiotics were prescribed. The total prescriptions consisted of 36.25% enrofloxacin, 27.5% trimethoprim -sulfadiazine, 8.75% metronidazole, 8.75% neomycin, 5% gentamicin, 3.75% chloramphenicol, 3.75% polymyxin B, 2.5% sulfanilamide, 2.5% trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole, and 1.25% penicillin. The most common route of administration was oral (60 times), and the least common was inhalation (1 time). In general, antibiotic use was appropriate, with the most commonly used antibiotics being trimethoprim-sulfadiazine and enrofloxacin.
