      Uji Efektivitas Infusa Brotowali (Tinospora crispa) terhadap Ichthyophthirius multifiliis serta Toksisitasnya pada Ikan Zebra (Danio rerio).

      Abstract
      Infeksi protozoa Ichthyophthirius multifiliis (I. multifilis) merupakan salah satu penyebab utama tingginya morbiditas dan mortalitas pada budidaya ikan air tawar. Penggunaan bahan kimia sintetis dalam penanganan infeksi parasit berpotensi menimbulkan dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan, sehingga diperlukan alternatif yang lebih ramah lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas infusa brotowali (Tinospora crispa) sebagai agen antiparasit terhadap I. multifiliis serta menilai toksisitasnya pada ikan zebra (Danio rerio). Uji antiparasit dilakukan secara in vitro menggunakan 3-8 tomont dan 4-17 theront pada setiap well, sedangkan uji toksisitas akut dilakukan selama 96 jam. Hasil menunjukkan infusa brotowali mampu menurunkan viabilitas parasit seiring peningkatan konsentrasi. Kematian 100% pada tomont terjadi dalam 20 jam pada konsentrasi 50-200 mg/L, sedangkan pada theront terjadi dalam 120 menit pada konsentrasi 200 mg/L. Uji toksisitas menunjukkan adanya peningkatan mortalitas ikan seiring kenaikan konsentrasi dan lama waktu pemaparan, dengan kematian mulai teramati pada 48 jam. Nilai LC50 diperoleh sebesar 4304,8 ± 187,7 mg/L dengan interval kepercayaan 95% sebesar 3838,6-4771 mg/L. Ikan yang terpapar konsentrasi tinggi menunjukkan penurunan aktivitas renang. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan infusa brotowali berpotensi sebagai agen antiparasit alami terhadap I. multifiliis.
       
      Ichthyophthirius multifiliis (I. multifilis) infection is a major cause of losses in freshwater aquaculture due to its high morbidity and mortality rates. The use of synthetic chemicals for parasite control has potential environmental risks, highlighting the need for more eco-friendly alternatives. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of brotowali (Tinospora crispa) infusion as an antiparasitic agent and to assess its toxicity in zebrafish (Danio rerio). Antiparasitic activity was evaluated in vitro using 3-8 tomonts and 4-17 theronts in each well, while the acute toxicity test was conducted over 96 hours. The results showed that brotowali infusion reduced parasite viability in a concentration-dependent manner. Complete mortality of tomonts was achieved within 20 hours at concentrations of 50-200 mg/L, while 100% mortality of theronts occurred within 120 minutes at 200 mg/L. Toxicity testing revealed an increase in fish mortality with increasing concentrations and exposure duration, with mortality first observed at 48 hours. The LC50 value was 4304.8 ± 187.7 mg/L, with a 95% confidence interval of 3838.6-4771 mg/L. Fish exposed to higher concentrations exhibited reduced swimming activity. In conclusion, brotowali infusion shows potential as a natural antiparasitic agent against I. multifiliis.
