      Abstract

Pain and inflammation are biological responses that impair welfare and require effective and safe management. Herbal medicines such as Aloe vera and Clitoria ternatea are potential alternatives due to their bioactive compounds, including flavonoids, alkaloids, and saponins, which possess analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. This study evaluated the effectiveness of a combination infusion of Aloe vera leaves and Clitoria ternatea flowers in mice. Twenty male DDY mice (Deutschland Denken Yoken) were randomly divided into four groups (Control, 1%, 5%, and 10%). Analgesic activity was assessed using the Tail Flick Immersion Test, and anti-inflammatory activity was evaluated using carrageenan-induced paw edema. Data were analyzed using ANOVA followed by Tukey’s test. The results showed significant analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects, with the 10% concentration group significantly reducing pain and inflammation compared with the control group. Therefore, the 10% combination infusion was considered effective as a natural analgesic and anti-inflammatory agent.
