Penerapan Total Productive Maintenance pada Meat Deboning Machine di PT XYZ
Abstract
PT XYZ is a company operating in the poultry industry, particularly in the Poultry Slaughterhouse (RPA) sector. The main problem addressed in this study is the low effectiveness of the Meat Deboning Machine (MDM), as indicated by an Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) value of 44.46%, which falls below the company's performance standard. This condition is caused by high six big losses, suboptimal machine operation, and the inadequate implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). This study aims to identify the factors contributing to the low machine effectiveness and to propose improvement strategies based on TPM. The research method includes OEE calculation based on the availability, performance, and quality components, six big losses analysis to identify the major sources of losses, and the development of improvement proposals based on the autonomous maintenance, planned maintenance, and focused improvement (Kaizen) pillars. The results indicate that the OEE of the Meat Deboning Machine remains below the company's standard, with reduced speed losses identified as the largest contributor to performance losses. Therefore, TPM-based improvements and the implementation of One Point Lessons are expected to enhance the machine's effectiveness, reliability, and productivity in a sustainable manner.
