      Abstract
Pengamatan dilakukan setiap 15 menit selama 90 menit.

Anesthesia in cats induces alterations in vital signs within the respiratory, cardiovascular, thermoregulatory, and peripheral perfusion systems. This study aimed to analyze vital sign changes in intact junior and adult male domestic cats anesthetized using ketamine-medetomidine and ketamine-xylazine combinations. Twenty cats were divided into two groups based on age and anesthetic combinations. The observed parameters included respiratory rate, heart rate, body temperature, capillary refill time (CRT), and mucous membrane color. Observations were performed every 15 minutes for 90 minutes. Data were analyzed using repeated measures ANOVA followed by Bonferroni post-hoc tests. The results showed dynamic fluctuations in vital signs across respiratory rate, heart rate, and temperature. Respiratory rate decreased at minutes 15–60 and then increased at minutes 75–90; body temperature gradually decreased after minute 30; whereas heart rate decreased, maintaining higher values in the junior group. CRT duration was normal (< 2 seconds) initially, but the number of cats with prolonged CRT (> 2 seconds) increased after minute 30. Mucous membrane color shifted from pink to pale over the course of anesthesia. In conclusion, both anesthetic combinations provided relatively similar physiological effects. Age significantly affected in the decrease in heart rate, while respiratory rate, temperature, CRT, and mucous membrane color remained relatively uniform.
