dc.description.abstractTingginya downtime pada mesin Ball Mill 565-BM1 di Area Finish Mill PT XYZ menyebabkan terganggunya proses produksi sehingga diperlukan upaya perbaikan untuk meningkatkan keandalan sistem. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi penyebab downtime, menerapkan Focused Improvement (FI) pada pilar Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), mengevaluasi peningkatan keandalan sistem, serta menyusun dokumen standardisasi pemeliharaan. Metode yang digunakan meliputi analisis 5 Whys, pendekatan 5W2H, serta evaluasi parameter keandalan menggunakan Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), dan Mean Down Time (MDT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyebab utama downtime adalah plug up pada jalur aerasi Air Slide 565-AS6 akibat keterbatasan akses cleaning. Perbaikan dilakukan melalui pemasangan napple dan cap sebagai fasilitas cleaning access. Setelah implementasi perbaikan, downtime menurun dari 85,05 jam menjadi 14,99 jam dan frekuensi gangguan turun dari 21 kali menjadi 8 kali. Nilai MTBF meningkat dari 186.39 jam menjadi 522.07 jam, sedangkan MTTR menurun dari 3,38 jam menjadi 1,75 jam dan MDT menurun dari 4,05 jam menjadi 1,87 jam.
dc.description.abstractHigh downtime on Ball Mill 565-BM1 in the Finish Mill Area of PT XYZ disrupted the production process and required improvement efforts to increase system reliability. This study aimed to identify the causes of downtime, implement Focused Improvement (FI) within the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) pillar, evaluate system reliability improvement, and develop maintenance standardization documents. The methods used included 5 Whys analysis, the 5W2H approach, and reliability evaluation using Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), and Mean Down Time (MDT). The results showed that the main cause of downtime was material plug up in the aeration line of Air Slide 565-AS6 due to limited cleaning access. Improvements were implemented by installing nipple and cap components as cleaning access facilities. After implementation, downtime decreased from 85.05 hours to 14.99 hours and failure frequency decreased from 21 to 8 occurrences. MTBF increased from 186.39 hours to 522.07 hours, while MTTR decreased from 3.38 hours to 1.75 hours and MDT decreased from 4.05 hours to 1.87 hours.
