      Dinamika Kolom Udara dalam Kaitannya dengan Madden-Julian Oscillation (MJO) di Wilayah Barat Pulau Jawa

      Abstract
      Madden-Julian Oscillation (MJO) merupakan pengendali utama variabilitas curah hujan intramusiman di wilayah barat Pulau Jawa, tetapi respons struktur vertikal kolom udara terhadap fase-fase MJO di wilayah ini masih belum banyak dikaji menggunakan data pengamatan udara atas langsung. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis profil vertikal suhu, angin zonal, dan angin meridional pada setiap fase MJO di wilayah Banten, DKI Jakarta, dan Jawa Barat. Data radiosonde milik BMKG dari tujuh stasiun pengamatan udara atas digunakan untuk analisis komposit dan uji-t satu sampel terhadap anomali harian tiap parameter berdasarkan indeks Real-time Multivariate MJO (RMM) selama musim basah (Oktober–April), yang diakses melalui proyek IGRA NOAA/NCEI. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa anomali angin zonal memberikan sinyal yang lebih kuat dan sistematis dibandingkan angin meridional, dengan keselarasan fase puncak curah hujan dan fase konvergensi angin zonal yang bervariasi antarstasiun. Mekanisme monsoon damping teridentifikasi konsisten di Stasiun Bandung, Serang, dan Kalijati, sementara Stasiun Soekarno-Hatta, Cirebon, dan Curug Budiarto menunjukkan pola sebaliknya yang mengindikasikan dominasi sirkulasi lokal pada data angin harian. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa dampak MJO terhadap struktur kolom udara dan curah hujan di wilayah barat Pulau Jawa bergantung pada karakteristik lokal masing-masing stasiun, sehingga generalisasi mekanisme tunggal terhadap seluruh wilayah kajian tidak dapat diterapkan secara langsung. The Madden-Julian Oscillation (MJO) is a major driver of intraseasonal rainfall variability over western Java, yet the vertical response of the atmospheric column to MJO phases here remains poorly examined using upper-air observa-tions. This study aims to identify and analyze the vertical profiles of temperature, zonal wind, and meridional wind during each MJO phase over Banten, DKI Ja-karta, and West Java. Radiosonde data owned by BMKG from seven upper-air observation stations were used for composite analysis and one-sample t-tests on daily anomalies of each parameter based on the Real-time Multivariate MJO (RMM) index during the wet season (October–April), accessed through the IGRA project. The results show that zonal wind anomalies exhibit stronger, more sys-tematic signals than meridional wind anomalies, with the timing of peak rainfall and zonal wind convergence varying among stations. The monsoon damping mechanism was identified at Bandung, Serang, and Kalijati stations, whereas Soekarno-Hatta, Cirebon, and Curug Budiarto stations showed the opposite pat-tern, indicating local circulation dominance in the daily wind data. These find-ings show that the MJO impact on atmospheric column structure and rainfall over western Java depends on local station characteristics, so a single generalized mechanism cannot be directly applied across the study area.
