      Optimalisasi Penempatan Material Gudang Melalui Perbaikan Tata Letak Berdasarkan Analisis FSN di PT Multi Nitrotama Kimia

      Abstract
      Warehouse material PT Multi Nitrotama Kimia mengalami inefisiensi jarak tempuh dan penempatan barang yang tidak teratur, dimana material dengan frekuensi tinggi ditempatkan jauh dari akses utama. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengoptimalkan tata letak penyimpanan material di warehouse tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis FSN (Fast Moving, Slow Moving, Non-Moving) berdasarkan nilai Turnover Ratio serta perhitungan jarak dengan pendekatan rectilinear multi-lantai. Hasil klasifikasi menunjukkan 21% barang termasuk kategori fast moving yang diprioritaskan posisinya dekat akses tangga. Implementasi tata letak usulan terbukti mereduksi total jarak tempuh harian dari 30.952 meter menjadi 13.682 meter, sehingga menghasilkan efisiensi jarak sebesar 56% yang setara dengan penghematan waktu operasional sebanyak 58 jam per bulan. Sebagai langkah pengendalian, penelitian ini merekomendasikan penerapan budaya 5S (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, Shitsuke) untuk menjaga konsistensi performa gudang secara berkelanjutan.
       
      The material warehouse of PT Multi Nitrotama Kimia experiences inefficiencies in travel distance and irregular item placement, where high-frequency materials are stored far from the main access point. This study aims to optimize the storage layout of materials in the warehouse. The method applied is FSN analysis (Fast Moving, Slow Moving, Non-Moving) based on the Turnover Ratio combined with rectilinear multi-floor distance calculations. The classification results indicate that 21% of items fall into the fast moving category, which should be prioritized near stairway access. The proposed layout implementation successfully reduced the total daily travel distance from 30.952 meters to 13.682 meters, achieving a distance efficiency of 56%, equivalent to operational time savings of 58 hours per month. As a control measure, this study recommends the application of the 5S culture (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, Shitsuke) to maintain consistent warehouse performance in the long term.
