      Pengaruh Perkuatan Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer Terhadap Perilaku Struktural Balok Kayu Sengon Dengan Bukaan Lingkaran

      Abstract
      Kayu sengon merupakan jenis kayu cepat tumbuh yang banyak digunakan pada konstruksi ringan. Namun, kayu sengon memiliki kekuatan dan kekakuan lentur yang relatif rendah, terutama ketika digunakan sebagai balok dengan bukaan. Salah satu metode yang dapat diterapkan untuk meningkatkan kinerja balok adalah penggunaan Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) sebagai material perkuatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh perkuatan CFRP terhadap perilaku lentur balok kayu sengon dengan variasi jumlah bukaan berbentuk lingkaran. Pengujian dilakukan menggunakan metode four-point loading terhadap balok kontrol, balok berlubang tanpa perkuatan CFRP, serta balok berlubang dengan variasi jumlah lapisan CFRP. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan CFRP mampu meningkatkan kapasitas beban maksimum dan kekakuan balok. Spesimen A3 menghasilkan nilai kekakuan tertinggi dengan peningkatan sebesar 36,2% dibandingkan dengan balok kontrol. Sementara itu, spesimen A2 menunjukkan konfigurasi perkuatan yang paling optimal karena memiliki kapasitas penyerapan energi tertinggi serta kemampuan deformasi yang lebih baik sebelum mengalami keruntuhan.
       
      Sengon wood is a fast-growing timber species that is widely used in lightweight construction. However, sengon wood has relatively low flexural strength and stiffness, particularly when used as beams with openings. One method that can be applied to improve beam performance is the use of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) as a strengthening material. This study aims to analyze the effect of CFRP strengthening on the flexural behavior of sengon wood beams with variations in the number of circular openings. The testing was conducted using the four-point loading method on control beams, unstrengthened beams with openings, and beams with openings strengthened using different CFRP layers. The results showed that the application of CFRP was able to improve the maximum load capacity and stiffness of the beams. Specimen A3 exhibited the highest stiffness, with an increase of 36.2% compared to the control beam. Meanwhile, specimen A2 demonstrated the most optimal strengthening configuration due to its highest energy absorption capacity and better deformation capability before failure.
