dc.description.abstractTingginya biaya pakan pada usaha ayam petelur mendorong pemanfaatan probiotik sebagai feed additive untuk meningkatkan efisiensi produksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi pengaruh suplementasi Lactobacillus sp. pada berbagai tingkat dosis terhadap beberapa parameter kualitas telur dan konsumsi pakan ayam petelur strain Hy-Line. Sebanyak 20 ekor ayam Hy-Line berumur 88 minggu dibagi secara acak ke dalam empat perlakuan, yaitu kontrol (P0), 0,5% (P1), 1% (P2), dan 1,5% (P3). Parameter yang diamati meliputi kualitas telur eksternal dan internal serta konsumsi pakan. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Two Way ANOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suplementasi probiotik berpengaruh nyata (p<0,05) terhadap bobot telur, berat kerabang, diameter kuning telur, dan konsumsi pakan, dengan hasil terbaik pada dosis 1,5%. Namun, tidak terdapat pengaruh signifikan (p>0,05) terhadap panjang telur, diameter telur, tebal kerabang, diameter putih telur, tinggi putih telur, dan tinggi kuning telur. Disimpulkan bahwa suplementasi Lactobacillus sp. dosis 1,5% mampu meningkatkan beberapa parameter kualitas telur serta efisiensi pemanfaatan pakan pada ayam petelur strain Hy-Line
dc.description.abstractThe high cost of feed in laying hen production has encouraged the use of probiotics as feed additives to improve production efficiency. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of Lactobacillus sp. supplementation at different dosage levels on selected egg quality parameters and feed consumption of Hy-Line laying hens. A total of 20 Hy-Line hens aged 88 weeks were randomly assigned to four treatments: control (P0), 0.5% (P1), 1% (P2), and 1.5% (P3) probiotic supplementation. Observed parameters included external and internal egg quality as well as feed consumption. Data were analyzed using Two-Way ANOVA. The results showed that probiotic supplementation significantly affected egg weight, eggshell weight, yolk diameter, and feed consumption (p<0.05). The highest improvement was observed at the 1.5% dosage level. However, no significant effects were found on egg length, egg diameter, eggshell thickness, albumen diameter, albumen height, and yolk height (p>0.05). In conclusion, Lactobacillus sp. supplementation at 1.5% improves certain egg quality parameters and enhances feed utilization efficiency in Hy-Line laying hens
