Penerapan Time Study Menggunakan Metode Stopwatch untuk Menentukan Waktu Standar Produk BSL di PT XYZ

Abstract

PT XYZ merupakan perusahaan pengolahan ayam unggas yang menjalankan berbagai proses produksi, termasuk boneless sebagai tahap penting. Namun, proses boneless pada produk BSL (Boneless Skinless Legs) mengalami variasi waktu kerja antar operator, metode kerja yang belum seragam, dan tidak adanya waktu baku sebagai acuan. Kondisi ini menurunkan efisiensi, menimbulkan bottleneck, dan meningkatkan biaya operasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan menetapkan waktu baku produk BSL menggunakan metode stopwatch melalui observasi elemen kerja, pengukuran waktu siklus, serta perhitungan waktu rata-rata, rating, waktu normal, dan waktu baku. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan keterampilan, metode kerja, dan kondisi lingkungan menjadi penyebab utama variasi waktu. Waktu baku yang diperoleh dapat digunakan PT XYZ untuk menyusun standar kerja, menentukan kebutuhan tenaga kerja, dan meningkatkan efisiensi proses boneless.

PT XYZ is a poultry processing company that carries out various production processes, including boneless processing as an important stage. However, the boneless process of BSL (Boneless Skinless Legs) products due to variations in operators’ working times, non-standardized work methods, and the absence of a standard time as a reference. These conditions reduce efficiency, create bottlenecks, and increase operational costs.This study aims to establish the standard time for BSL products using the stopwatch method through observations of work elements, cycle time measurements, and calculations of average time, rating, normal time, and standard time. The results of the analysis indicate that differences in skills, work methods, and environmental conditions are the main causes of time variation. The standard time obtained can be used by PT XYZ to develop work standards, determine labor requirements, and improve the efficiency of the boneless process.
