dc.description.abstractParent stock memegang peranan penting dalam rantai produksi broiler dengan performa produksi telur yang secara langsung memengaruhi jumlah dan kualitas day old chick (DOC). Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis performa produksi telur ayam parent stock dari dua jenis ras yang berbeda. Sampel terdiri atas dua kandang ras Ross dengan jumlah populasi 15.427 ekor dan dua kandang ras Hubbard dengan jumlah populasi 15.644 ekor dengan waktu penelitian 10 minggu pasca fase puncak produksi telur yakni minggu ke-45 hingga ke-54. Data sekunder performa ayam yang digunakan meliputi parameter hen day production (HDP), hatching egg, fertility, dan hatchability yang diperoleh dari lembar harian kandang dan laporan mingguan hatchery. Ras Ross memiliki nilai HDP (74,81 ± 4,50%) dan hatching egg (98,91 ± 0,12%) lebih tinggi dibandingkan ras Hubbard (69,74 ± 4,46% dan 98,58 ± 0,10%), sedangkan ras Hubbard lebih unggul pada fertility (90,26 ± 2,01%) dan hatchability (86,36 ± 1,79%) dibandingkan ras Ross (86,53 ± 3,45% dan 82,88 ± 3,49%). Analisis data menggunakan uji independent t test menunjukkan taraf signifikan (p-value) p< 0,05 untuk ke empat parameter uji. Ras Ross lebih lebih unggul untuk target volume produksi telur, sedangkan ras Hubbard lebih optimal untuk efisiensi reproduksi dan keberhasilan penetasan.
dc.description.abstractParent stock plays a crucial role in the broiler production chain as its egg production performance directly influences the quantity and quality of day old chicks (DOC). This study aimed to analyze the egg production performance of broiler parent stock from two different strains. The sample consisted of two Ross houses with a total population of 15,427 birds and two Hubbard houses with a total population of 15,644 birds, observed for 10 weeks during the post-peak laying phase from production weeks 45 to 54. Secondary performance data used in this study included hen day production (HDP), hatching egg percentage, fertility, and hatchability, obtained from daily house records and weekly hatchery reports. Ross had significantly higher HDP (74.81 ± 4.50%) and hatching egg (98.91 ± 0.12%) values compared to Hubbard (69.74 ± 4.46% and 98.58 ± 0.10%), whereas Hubbard outperformed Ross in fertility (90.26 ± 2.01%) and hatchability (86.36 ± 1.79%) compared to Ross (86.53 ± 3.45% and 82.88 ± 3.49%). Data analysis using the independent t-test revealed significant differences (p < 0.05) across all four parameters. Ross is more suitable for high egg volume production targets, whereas Hubbard is more optimal for reproductive efficiency and hatching success.
