      Optimasi Suhu Pemeliharaan untuk Penyerapan Kuning Telur pada Pralarva Ikan Frontosa Cyphotilapia frontosa

      Abstract
      Ikan frontosa merupakan ikan hias yang termasuk dalam famili chiclidae dan berasal dari Danau Tanganyika, Afrika. Suhu menjadi salah satu faktor lingkungan yang berpengaruh terhadap proses metabolisme, penyerapan kuning telur, pertumbuhan, abnormalitas, dan sintasan pralarva. Proyek akhir ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kisaran suhu optimum terhadap laju penyerapan kandungan kuning telur pralarva ikan frontosa. Proyek akhir ini menggunakan rancangan perlakuan suhu berbeda, yaitu suhu 23,0–25,5ºC (S0), suhu 26,0–29,3ºC (S1), dan suhu 29,0–31,6ºC (S2). Parameter yang diamati meliputi laju penyerapan kuning telur, pertumbuhan panjang mutlak, abnormalitas, sintasan, dan kualitas air. Perlakuan S1 menghasilkan laju penyerapan kuning telur tercepat sebesar 1,4±0,02% per hari dengan lama penyerapan 10 hari atau 2,5× lebih cepat dibandingkan kontrol. Perlakuan S2 menyebabkan seluruh pralarva mengalami kematian. Suhu optimum pemeliharaan pralarva ikan frontosa berada pada kisaran 26,0–29,3ºC.
       
      Frontosa is an ornamental fish that belongs to the cichlid family and comes from Lake Tanganyika, Africa. Temperature is one of the environmental factors that affects metabolism, yolk absorption, growth, abnormalities, and larval survival rates. This final project aims to determine the optimal temperature range for the yolk absorption rate in frontosa fish larvae. The project used treatment designs with different temperatures: 23.0–25.5ºC (S0), 26.0–29.3ºC (S1), and 29.0–31.6ºC (S2). The observed parameters included yolk absorption rate, absolute length growth, abnormalities, survival, and water quality. Treatment S1 produced the fastest yolk absorption rate of 1.4±0.02% per day with a 10-day absorption period, which is 2.5 times faster than the control. Treatment S2 caused all larvae to die. The optimal temperature for raising frontosa fish larvae is in the range of 26.0–29.3ºC.
