| dc.description.abstract | Cagar Alam (CA) Wae Wuul di Nusa Tenggara Timur merupakan kawasan konservasi penting dengan tipe ekosistem yang beragam, namun data mengenai keanekaragaman herpetofauna di kawasan ini masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi tingkat keanekaragaman dan sebaran herpetofauna di tiga ekosistem CA Wae Wuul: Sungai Wae Wangka, Hutan Musim Sok Geleng, dan Savana Wae Wuul. Pengambilan data dilakukan menggunakan metode Visual Encounter Survey (VES) dan perangkap lem. Hasil penelitian mencatat 14 jenis herpetofauna yang terdiri dari 3 jenis amfibi dan 11 jenis reptil. Ekosistem sungai memiliki tingkat keanekaragaman jenis tertinggi, sedangkan savana memiliki keanekaragaman terendah. Analisis kesamaan komunitas menunjukkan bahwa ekosistem sungai dan hutan musim membentuk satu klaster yang saling berkerabat, sementara ekosistem savana berdiri sendiri. Penelitian ini menemukan spesies endemik Nusa Tenggara, yaitu Limnonectes kadarsani dan Cyrtodactylus laevigatus, serta mendeteksi keberadaan biawak komodo (Varanus komodoensis) secara tidak langsung melalui temuan feses di savana. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The Wae Wuul Nature Reserve in East Nusa Tenggara is an important conservation area with diverse ecosystem types, yet data regarding its herpetofauna diversity remains limited. This study aims to identify the diversity and distribution of herpetofauna across three ecosystems within the reserve: Wae Wangka River, Sok Geleng Monsoon Forest, and Wae Wuul Savanna. Data are collected using the Visual Encounter Survey (VES) method and glue traps. The results record 14 species of herpetofauna, consisting of 3 amphibian and 11 reptile species. The river ecosystem exhibits the highest species diversity, while the savanna has the lowest. Community similarity analysis reveals that the river and monsoon forest ecosystems form a single closely related cluster, whereas the savanna stands alone. The study finds endemic species to Nusa Tenggara, namely Limnonectes kadarsani and Cyrtodactylus laevigatus, and indirectly detects the presence of the Komodo dragon (Varanus komodoensis) through feces found in the savanna. | |
