Tawes fish Barbonymus gonionotus is a popular freshwater fish species cultivated due to its high economic value. Efforts to enhance fish growth and survival can be achieved by incorporating probiotics into the feed. This study aimed to identify the most effective commercial probiotic for improving the growth performance and survival rate of tawes fish. The research employed a completely randomized design with three treatments: control (without probiotic), probiotic A (6 mL kg?¹ feed), and probiotic B (15 mL kg?¹ feed), each with three replications. Observed parameters included growth, feed conversion ratio (FCR), survival rate, hematology, intestinal bacterial density, water quality, and economic analysis. Results indicated that probiotic A treatment yielded the best performance, with absolute weight gain of 13,6 g, absolute length gain of 4,4 cm, specific growth rate (SGR) of 3,96% day?¹, FCR of 1,02, and survival rate of 98,6%. Economic analysis also showed the highest profit in treatment A, with an R/C ratio of 1,51. Water quality parameters during the rearing period remained within the optimal range for freshwater fish aquaculture.
