Abstract

Jambu biji (Psidium guajava L.) merupakan salah satu komoditas hortikultura yang banyak dibudidayakan di Indonesia, khususnya di Jawa Barat. Namun, produktivitasnya dapat menurun akibat serangan hama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui intensitas infestasi Ceroplastes sp. pada varietas jambu biji merah getas di Desa Gunung Malang, Kecamatan Tenjolaya, Kabupaten Bogor. Penelitian dilakukan pada lima petak lahan dengan metode purposive sampling. Observasi dilakukan berdasarkan tiga perlakuan, yaitu arah mata angin, praktik budidaya, dan faktor cuaca. Data dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA, uji Tukey, dan korelasi Pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa arah mata angin tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap intensitas infestasi Ceroplastes sp., sedangkan waktu observasi dan perbedaan kondisi lahan berpengaruh sangat signifikan. Hal ini dipengaruhi oleh faktor cuaca praktik budidaya yang diterapkan oleh pemilik lahan.

Guava (Psidium guajava L.) is one of the horticultural commodities widely cultivated in Indonesia, particularly in West Java. However, its productivity can decline due to pest attacks. This study aimed to determine the intensity of Ceroplastes sp. infestation on red getas guava variety in Gunung Malang Village, Tenjolaya District, Bogor Regency. The research was conducted on five land plots using a purposive sampling method. Observations were carried out based on three treatments, namely cardinal directions, cultivation practices, and weather factors. The data were analyzed using ANOVA, Tukey’s test, and Pearson correlation. The results showed that cardinal directions did not significantly affect the intensity of Ceroplastes sp. infestation, whereas observation time and differences in land conditions had a highly significant effect. This was influenced by weather factors and cultivation practices applied by the landowners.
