Pengolahan Limbah Cair Industri Pestisida menggunakan Advanced Oxidation Process untuk Reduksi Chemical Oxygen Demand
Abstract
Pesticide Industrial Liquid Waste has initial characteristics of COD levels in the range of 100,000 – 200,000 mg/l. This study aims to identify the characteristics of pesticide industrial liquid waste, determine the effectiveness of the Advanced Oxidation Process method and calculate the total cost of industrial-scale AOP. Photo Fenton and Fenton AOP tests of 250 ml of pesticide industrial liquid waste were mixed with FeSO4 and H2O2 with ratio variations of 1:2 and 2:1 and time variations of 30, 60 and 90 minutes then COD and color parameter tests. Analysis of variation data was calculated quantitatively, statistically and economically. The results showed the initial characteristics of COD 118,000 mg/L, color 16,000 Pt-Co, pH 9.2 and temperature 28.7°C. The best removal efficiency was 40.7%. The total cost based on the best life cycle cost analysis was Fenton amounting to Rp. 12,306,330,000. Based on the research results, the Photo-Fenton treatment mechanism is the best at reducing COD and dye levels in pesticide industrial wastewater.
