dc.description.abstractKanibalisme pada benih ikan lele Clarias sp. merupakan salah satu kendala budidaya yang dapat menurunkan tingkat kelangsungan hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi efektivitas pemberian tepung kedelai melalui coating pakan untuk mengendalikan kanibalisme. Tepung kedelai mengandung triptofan sekitar 0,6% yang berpotensi menekan perilaku agresif melalui peningkatan aktivitas serotonergik. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendapatkan dosis tepung kedelai yang tepat untuk mengendalikan tingkat kanibalisme pada benih ikan lele. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan, yaitu penambahan tepung kedelai sebesar 100 g kg?¹, 200 g kg?¹, dan kontrol pakan tanpa penambahan tepung kedelai masing-masing tiga pengulangan. Benih ikan lele yang digunakan dalam penelitian memiliki panjang rata-rata 3,22±0,13 cm dan bobot rata-rata 0,27±0,02 g dipelihara selama 30 hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penambahan tepung kedelai dengan dosis 200 g kg?¹ berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap tingkat kelangsungan hidup sebesar 87±1,5%, total kanibalisme sebesar 11,57±1,01%, seluruhnya merupakan kanibalisme tipe I, serta tidak ditemukan kanibalisme tipe II.
dc.description.abstractCannibalism in Clarias sp. catfish fry is one of the cultivation constraints that can reduce the survival rate. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of providing soybean flour through feed coating to control cannibalism. Soy flour contains about 0.6% tryptophan which has the potential to suppress aggressive behavior by increasing serotonergic activity. This study was conducted to obtain the appropriate dose of soybean flour to control the level of cannibalism in catfish fry. The research method used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with three treatments, namely the addition of soybean flour of 100 g kg?¹, 200 g kg?¹, and control feed without the addition of soybean flour, each with three replications. The catfish fry used in the study had an average length of 3,22 ± 0,13 cm and an average weight of 0,27 ± 0,02 g and were maintained for 30 days. The results showed that the addition of soybean flour at a dose of 200 g kg?¹ had a significant effect (P<0.05) on the survival rate of 87±1,5%, total cannibalism of 11.57±1.01%, all of which were type I cannibalism, and no type II cannibalism was found.
