| dc.description.abstract | Production activities in the injection section of PT Natamas Plast revealed
ergonomic issues due to inadequate work facilities, including chairs without
backrests or cushioning and worktables incompatible with the operators body
dimensions, leading to musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) complaints in the neck, back, waist, thighs, and calves. This study aimed to design ergonomic work facilities in the injection section based on anthropometric data and user needs to minimize MSDs risk. The Nordic Body Map (NBM) and Rapid Entire Body
Assessment (REBA) methods were employed to identify complaints and assess
postural risks, while anthropometric measurements were applied to determine the optimal facility dimensions. The NBM assessment indicated a mean score of 63 (moderate risk), with three operators classified in the high-risk category and three in the moderate category, confirming the need for postural improvements. Based on anthropometric data, a worktable with an adjustable height of 136 – 159 cm and a chair with an adjustable height of 39 – 49 cm were designed. The proposed design is expected to enhance comfort and reduce MSDs risk among operators.
