      Abstract

Rasbora Kubotai Microdevario kubotai is a freshwater ornamental fish with high economic value. However, its culture is frequently constrained by parasitic infections, particularly those caused by Oodinium sp., which can reduce growth performance and lead to mass mortality. This final project aimed to evaluate the effects of different salinity levels on the growth performance and health status of Rasbora Kubotai juveniles. The study employed an experimental design consisting of four treatments with three replicates: K (control), S2 (2 g/L), S4 (4 g/L), and S6 (6 g/L) salinity. Growth performance in the S4 treatment showed the best results compared with the control treatment. Hematological parameters indicated that fish reared at S4 exhibited the most favorable physiological condition, whereas the S6 treatment tended to show signs of stress. Water quality parameters remained within tolerable ranges across all treatments. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that a salinity level of S4 represents the optimal condition for enhancing growth, health, survival rate, and effectively suppressing Oodinium sp. infection.
