Perancangan Sistem Pengelolaan Sampah Sejenis Sampah Rumah Tangga Di Area Konstruksi Berdasarkan Konsep Green Construction
Abstract
Meningkatnya timbulan Sampah Sejenis Sampah Rumah Tangga (SSSRT) di area konstruksi PT PP (Persero) Tbk belum diimbangi pengelolaan yang optimal sehingga berpotensi menimbulkan dampak lingkungan dan menurunkan efisiensi proyek. Pengelolaan eksisting masih bersifat konvensional dengan keterbatasan pemilahan di sumber, fasilitas pengolahan, dan penerapan prinsip 3R. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis komposisi, karakteristik, dan timbulan sampah, mengevaluasi kondisi pengelolaan eksisting, serta merancang sistem pengelolaan berbasis green construction melalui pengembangan kalkulator pengelolaan sampah yang bernama PP-Waste Management Calculator (PP-WMC). Metode yang digunakan meliputi observasi, sampling, analisis timbulan, volume, densitas, karakteristik, neraca massa, dan recovery factor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa timbulan sampah didominasi sampah organik, terutama sisa makanan, dengan laju rata-rata 0,62 kg/orang/hari. Jumlah tenaga kerja berhubungan linear dengan timbulan sampah. Skenario pengelolaan melalui pemilahan, pengomposan, lubang resapan biopori, dan daur ulang mampu menurunkan residu secara signifikan serta mendukung penerapan green construction. The increasing generation of Household-Similar Waste (SSSRT) in the construction area of PT PP (Persero) Tbk has not been matched by optimal management, potentially causing environmental impacts and reducing project efficiency. Existing management remains conventional, with limited source sorting, processing facilities, and the application of the 3R principle. This study aims to analyze the composition, characteristics, and generation of waste, evaluate existing management conditions, and design a green construction-based management system through the development of a waste management calculator called the PP-Waste Management Calculator (PP-WMC). The methods used include observation, sampling, analysis of generation, volume, density, characteristics, mass balance, and recovery factor. The results indicate that waste generation is dominated by organic waste, particularly food scraps, with an average rate of 0.62 kg/person/day. The number of workers is linearly related to waste generation. Management scenarios through sorting, composting, biopore infiltration holes, and recycling can significantly reduce residue and support the implementation of green construction.
