dc.description.abstractPakan merupakan biaya terbesar dalam budidaya ikan lele sehingga diperlukan peningkatan efisiensi pemanfaatan pakan. Percobaan bertujuan membandingkan pengaruh aplikasi serbuk kayu manis Cinnamomum burmannii 1,1% pada pakan terhadap sintasan dan kinerja pertumbuhan ikan lele Clarias gariepinus sistem tanpa pergantian air. Percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan dua perlakuan dan empat ulangan, yaitu pakan komersial (K0) dan pakan komersial dengan penambahan serbuk kayu manis 1,1% (K1). Ikan dipelihara selama 57 hari pada padat tebar 150 ekor m?². Parameter yang diamati meliputi pakan uji, sintasan, pertumbuhan, Hepatosomatic Index (HSI), dan kualitas air. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi serbuk kayu manis 1,1% tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap seluruh parameter. Perlakuan K1 menghasilkan sintasan 72,39±4,17%; pertumbuhan bobot mutlak 177,85±7,05 g; laju pertumbuhan spesifik 4,73±0,10%; rasio konversi pakan 1,10±0,01; efisiensi pakan 90,58±1,00%; dan HSI 2,01±0,34%; yang relatif serupa dengan kontrol. Aplikasi serbuk kayu manis 1,1% berpotensi digunakan sebagai fitobiotik untuk mempertahankan pertumbuhan, efisiensi pemanfaatan pakan, dan kondisi fisiologis ikan lele pada sistem tanpa pergantian air.
dc.description.abstractFeed represents the largest production cost in African catfish culture, therefore, improving feed utilization is essential. This study evaluated the effects of dietary supplementation with 1,1% cinnamon Cinnamomum burmannii powder on the survival and growth performance of African catfish Clarias gariepinus cultured in a zero-waterexchange system. A completely randomized design with two treatments and four replicates was used: commercial feed (K0) and commercial feed supplemented with 1,1% cinnamon powder (K1). Fish were reared for 57 days at a stocking density of 150 fish m?². Parameters observed included survival, growth performance, feed utilization, hepatosomatic index (HSI), and water quality. Dietary supplementation with 1,1% cinnamon powder did not significantly affect any measured parameter (P>0,05) but maintained survival, growth performance, feed utilization, and HSI at levels comparable to the control. These findings suggest that 1,1% cinnamon powder has potential as a phytobiotic to maintain growth performance, feed utilization efficiency, and physiological condition of African catfish cultured in a zero-water-exchange system.
