dc.description.abstractIkan lele Clarias gariepinus termasuk komoditas air tawar bernilai ekonomi tinggi, namun budidayanya masih terkendala tingginya biaya pakan dan penyerapan nutrisi yang belum optimal, terutama pada sistem tanpa pergantian air. Temulawak mengandung senyawa bioaktif utama berupa kurkuminoid dan minyak atsiri, terutama xanthorrhizol, yang berperan dalam merangsang aktivitas enzim pencernaan, meningkatkan nafsu makan, dan memperkuat kondisi fisiologis ikan sehingga penyerapan nutrien menjadi lebih optimal. Proyek akhir ini bertujuan mengevaluasi suplementasi temulawak 0,73% pada pakan komersial terhadap kinerja produksi ikan lele. Pemeliharaan dilakukan selama 57 hari tanpa pergantian air menggunakan dua perlakuan, yaitu pemberian pakan tanpa serbuk temulawak dan pakan dengan serbuk temulawak 0,73%. Hasil menunjukkan suplementasi temulawak memberikan pengaruh nyata (p<0,05) terhadap tingkat kelangsungan hidup, biomassa akhir, rasio konversi pakan, dan efisiensi pakan, dengan konsumsi pakan lebih rendah serta kondisi fisiologis hati tetap normal. Analisis usaha menunjukkan peningkatan keuntungan, R/C ratio, dan payback period lebih baik dibandingkan kontrol.
dc.description.abstractCatfish Clarias gariepinus is a high value freshwater commodity, but its cultivation is still hampered by high feed costs and suboptimal nutrient absorption, particularly in systems without water changes. Temulawak contains primary bioactive compounds such as curcuminoids and essential oils, particularly xanthorrhizol, which play a role in stimulating digestive enzyme activity, increasing appetite, and strengthening the physiological condition of fish, thereby optimizing nutrient absorption. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of 0,73% temulawak supplementation in commercial feed on the production performance of catfish. Rearing was conducted for 57 days without water changes using two treatments: feed without temulawak powder and feed containing 0.73% temulawak vi powder. The results showed that temulawak supplementation had a significant effect (p<0,05) on survival rate, final biomass, feed conversion ratio, and feed efficiency, with lower feed intake and normal liver physiological conditions. Economic analysis shows an increase in profits, a better R/C ratio, and a shorter payback period compared to the control group.
